Certis Europe is one of the leading names in crop protection worldwide. The Certis Europe environment is fully virtualised and runs on HP Class C Blades. However, the Storage Area Network (SAN) had ceased to meet the requirements imposed by Certis Europe. So QNH was asked to come up with a SAN solution that would help resolve the capacity and throughput bottleneck.
HP Storage solutions
Disk space is provided on centrally supported systems via the HP Eva4400 SAN, with the emphasis being on the provision of several central systems. The SAN architecture differs from the traditional server configuration, where data storage and backup functions are performed on the server by unlinking these functions and executing them centrally. The servers that form part of the SAN share common disk storage and a single backup facility. The various components are connected to one another with glass fibre technology, which is necessary to achieve the required speed.
